项目摘要

今年度、初めて現地調査を行うことができた。調整不足で実測調査を行うことはできなかったが、これまでよりも広い範囲の調査を行い、より深い考察を得ることができた。特にこれまではポンペイ及びエルコラーノを中心にカンパーニャ地方の古代ローマ住宅を見てきたが、イタリア北部（デセンツァノ）や南部（エンナ）など他の都市の古代ローマ住宅の状況を確認することができた。また、ナポリ北方の沿岸に古代ローマ時代の別荘が集中していることを知り、現在の研究と深く関係する要素があることがわかった。今後、研究対象とする予定である。さらに、古代ローマ時代の社会背景を理解するために、古代ローマ住宅に関連する規模の大きい施設についても調査を行った。特に中庭に面したペリスタイルがどのように設計されているかを観察することができた。また、現地にて協力者に研究のテーマと調査内容についてと打ち合わせを行い、改善点やアドバイスなど様々な意見をもらうことができた。学会発表では「古代ローマ住宅ペリスタイル列柱についての研究、ヴィリダリウムへの眺望がない部屋についての考察」というタイトルで発表を行った。古代ローマ住宅におけるペリスタイル列柱において行われていた視覚操作についての一連の研究であり、ヴィリダリウムへの眺望がない部屋については、部屋からの眺望について代替的な魅力を付加しているのではないかという仮説のもと分析を行った。部屋の前の回廊の風景を眺望としたり、部屋のプロポーションを特徴的なものにするなどの工夫をしていたのではないかと指摘した。
