計画していた調査内容については、昨年度の時点で概ね完了しており、今年度は学術集会や学術誌を通じた研究成果の公表を進めてきた。その結果、今年度は学会発表2件、国際英文誌1報の成果を得た。論文として公表したのは、SGLT-2阻害薬の処方動向を、患者の心血管疾患発症リスクを考慮して調査したものである。この研究からは既報の試験結果を外挿することが可能と考えられる集団だけではなく、外挿によって有効性を得られるか明らかでない集団においても処方が増加していることが示唆されており、関連する領域に強く影響を与えるような大規模臨床試験の結果が公表された際は、その結果がどのような集団から得られたか、といった一般化可能性に関する情報を提供することが適正な処方に結びつけるために重要であると考えられた。このような事実、情報を論文として公表することにより、どのように医療情報を解釈し診療にあたるべきかを振り返るきっかけになることが期待される。またこの他にも、SGLT-2阻害薬以外の血糖降下薬を含めて本邦における処方動向や2型糖尿病の診療実態の変化を経時的に調査した研究についても、論文としてまとめ、投稿作業を進めている。このような研究についても、当該領域における薬物治療が、蓄積されたエビデンスや医療情報に即して変化しているかを評価し、どのような変化が望ましいかを検討する上で重要であると考えられ、学術誌を通じた公表を進める必要があると考えられる。
