2022年度は、看護小規模多機能型居宅介護施設（以下、看多機）のスタッフ（看護師、ケアマネージャー）を対象に、看多機を利用し亡くなられた高齢者の遺族、特に配偶者への悲嘆のケア（グリーフケア）に関するインタビュー調査の対象者を追加し、引き続き分析を行った。分析により、死亡後のグリーフケアは各事業所のにより様々であり、地域密着型サービスであるがゆえの地域性も関わっていることが考えられた。例えば、ある事業所では、普段から、看多機の利用者ではない地域住民に対して、健康体操の会などを開催しており、その普段の活動が、利用者が死亡した後も、配偶者遺族を支える場となっている可能性があることなどである。加えて、死亡前に、利用者の死に家族がそなえられるよう支援できるかが重要であることが分析により抽出できてきている。その際にも、看多機が、訪問、通い、宿泊のサービスを柔軟に組み合わせられることが利点となると考えられる。この分析をしていくことで、看多機がグリーフケアを提供していく上での、多様なアイディアを示すことができると考えられる。さらに、病院、訪問看護と同様に、死亡後のグリーフケアの提供には限界があることも示されると考えられ、死亡前の看取り期におけるグリーフケアの意義や重要性も示されると考えられる。2022年度は、さらに対象者を増やし、分析を行い、次の調査計画を進めることを予定していたが、新型コロナ感染拡大が大きく影響し、研究進捗は遅れている。
