調査国であるラオスではCOVID-19の感染率は低いものの、外国の医師の支援を受けて手術を行っている経緯があり、手術がほとんどできない状態となっていた。また、看護師は、新型コロナウイルスのワクチン接種の巡回のため、地方に出向することが多くなっており、研究者もラオスに行くことができず、研究を中断せざるを得ない状態となっていた。そこで、研究第一段階に計画していた患者調査を延期し、看護師の実践能力の尺度開発に向けた基礎的研究を先行して行うことにした。今年度は、先行文献を検討し、主に尺度開発の方法について検討した。現在は、ラオス国の現状が徐々に回復してきており、看護部長より研究再開の許可を得ることができた。日本での倫理審査の準備を行い、その後ラオスでの倫理審査を受ける予定にしている。
