シンガポールの緑化空間は、環境配慮の目的や都市間競争への対応だけでなく、シンガポール国家を形づくる上で、市民のシビックプライド形成やコミュニティの醸成等の面で重要な役割を果たし、建国以来の重要な都市要素となっている。近年では、Covid-19の影響等もあり、より地域に根付いた緑化空間が希求されると共に、公団住宅では都市農業の実践なども活発に行われている。本研究では、同国における、定性的観点を含めた緑化政策プロセスと集約的都市緑化空間形態の関係性に着目し、建築・都市デザインの視点から空間形態的特徴を取り上げ、同国の緑化政策の特性を明らかにすることを目的としている。2022年度は、主に1) 都市空間における緑化政策プロセスの展開の中で、Covid19や国際紛争による食糧危機等に際して推進が強化されている都市農業およびコミュニティガーデン等に対するプレイスメイキングの実践事例、 2) 都市緑化規定 (Landscaping for Urban Space and High-rises)、既存建物の緑化推進政策 (Skyrise Greenery Incentive Scheme)、市民の約8割が暮らす政府主導の公団住宅での環境景観評価(HDB Biophilic Town Framework)等の都市緑化政策に反映される都市型農業やコミュニティガーデン等に関連するガイドラインの記述に着目して文献調査を進めた。
