项目摘要

認知心理学，および，バーチャルリアリティ(VR)やロボティクスの分野で，人が物理的な身体の制約を超えて，自分の身体の認識や機能を拡張することのできる身体拡張の研究が進展している。しかし，身体拡張の成立要因や，その応用技術の研究が盛んである一方で，身体拡張が可能となった後に，拡張身体を通じてアクションを行う我々の認知がどのように変化するのかという点についてはまだ十分な研究が行われていない。本研究では特に，「三人称視点で観察する全身のバーチャル身体に対する身体拡張」に着目し，通常は自己身体中心座標に基づく空間知覚が，拡張身体を中心とした空間知覚へと変化する可能性について基礎心理学的観点から検討を行うことを目的とする。令和4年度は，自己身体の姿勢方向と角度差のあるアバターへの身体化（主観評価と身体近傍空間のリマッピング）について検討を行った。アバターが自己身体と直交する向き（横向き）で前方に存在する場合，自己身体と同期するアバターへの主観的な身体化が生じることが示されたが，身体近傍空間のリマッピングは生じなかった。このことは，横向きのアバターへの身体所有感が身体近傍空間のリマッピングを引き起こすほど十分ではなかった可能性を示唆する。今回の実験では，身体所有感などを持たせるためのリーチングタスクが約1分から2分間の比較的短い時間で終わったため，身体所有感を生じさせるための十分な学習ができず，同期したアバターでも身体所有感が低い水準であった可能性がある。感覚・知覚レベルでの身体化が生じるための時間についても検討する必要がある。あるいは，主観的な所有感や行為主体感が示す身体化と，自己身体に特有の多感覚統合のメカニズムが必ずしも一致しない可能性も考えられるため，身体近傍空間を示す視触覚統合の指標の妥当性についても検討を進めている。
