新型コロナウイルス感染症対策の継続や、2年にわたる同対策の影響により、予定されていたアフリカ・アジアでの現地調査が実現できず、オンライン会議での意見交換や資料確認を主に行った。同時に、新型コロナウイルス感染症のパンデミック禍で、市民社会や感染に脆弱な人々・コミュニティによる疾病対策への参画の意義と重要性が再確認され、様々な参画事例や成果が報告されたため、デスクレビュー対象に追加した。本研究で分析を行う市民社会組織（CSO）のアカウンタビリティ強化については、主要な保健分野の国際機関とも意見交換を行って、資金供与要件としてのCSOへの改めて大きくなった期待が確認された。これらの新らしい動向について、国際的なオンラインフォーラム等で発表を行ったが、2023年度には改めて現地調査を行い、市民社会側からの意見や知見と踏まえた研究成果のとりまとめと提言化に取り組む予定である。
