We study the effect of the number of universities and the number universities included in international rankings over the number of elections and number of parties. We find evidence that the number of universities impulse to have more political parties. On the other hand, the quality of tertiary education level increases the number of elections hold in each countries and reduces the number of parties.

我们研究了大学数量和列入国际排名的大学数量对选举次数和政党数量的影响。我们发现有证据表明，大学的数量推动了政党的增加。另一方面，高等教育水平的质量增加了每个国家举行选举的次数，减少了政党的数量。
