项目摘要

本研究では，鑑賞者が経験する美的感情に関する心理的基盤と脳内基盤の双方について，脳機能計測や心理学的実験を用いた研究，脳活動に対する深層学習をもとに美的感情を推定する研究，美術作品の様々な画像的特徴から深層学習を用いて印象評価を推定評価する研究を統合し，これまでの美学理論や美術史の系譜を再考することを目的としている。2022年度は，2021年度から継続して行っていた，絵画画像に感じる美しさと感情的覚醒との共通性や相違点について，脳活動部位やその活動部位のネットワークから検討するためのデータを得るための実験を行った。最終年度である2023年度には論文化までを行っていくための準備は2022年度に実施できている。また，fMRIを用いて本物らしさに関する認知の脳内基盤についても検討しており，特に本研究ではマルチボクセルパタン解析を用いた解析を行った。さらに，2020年に実施したウェブ実験を用いた絵画の心理評定実験の論文化作業が不十分であったとことから，再度2種類のオンライン実験について分析をやり直し，特に評価者間の評価の一貫性の指標を新たに導入して論文化作業を行いつつ，機械学習を用いたモデルでの検討を行った。その他にも，本研究の目的を実現するために追加した様々な心理学実験による検討も行っている。これらの検討から，当初の目的として検討してきた美と感情的覚醒との関係について，心理学実験による主観的評定のレベル，脳活動に基づく評価のレベル，さらに深層学習や機械学習による評価の再現性のレベルにまたがって多様な検討を行うことが可能であった。
