八尾は自己の『国朝刑律』研究深化とともに、研究代表者として、収まりを見せない新型コロナにより連絡の途切れがちな現地研究機関との関係維持に努めた。桃木はナムディン省旧百穀社などで1990年代以来展開された日越合同調査での収集資料の見直しに着手し、地簿・家譜などの整理・分析を進めて論文も発表した。蓮田はこれまでの調査で収集した村落史料で勅もしくは勅封と称される文書史料のうち、人事に関連するものの整理と検討を行った。その中間成果として約80道の勅を翻刻した史料集を所属大学のワーキングペーパーとして公刊した。山崎は、明代中越関係に関わる中国史料から、行政文書を収集する作業に着手している。その成果の一端を広島史学研究会における報告の中で発表した。井上は既蒐集の書籍所載、過去に漢喃研究院等で筆写したり、各地で撮影蒐集したりした神勅の文言をPC入力する作業を行ったほか、タインホア省・バクニン省の神蹟の記載事項を一覧化する作業を進めた。岡田はベトナム王朝が編纂した地誌や地簿など西北山地の土地情報に関する文献・文書を、タイ系民族側の史料や現地調査で得たデータと対照させながら分析し、辺境地域における文書作成と情報集積のあり方を考察した。吉川は17～18世紀北部ベトナムの平野部で中央政府（黎鄭政権）や地方官と村落とのあいだでやり取りされた行政文書を考察し、公的負担の減免を官に働きかける村落の動きを解明して論考として発表した。研究協力者である多賀は、フランスのアーカイブや図書館に所蔵されている近世・近代ベトナムの漢文・字喃史料に関する調査を行った。またこれと並行し、阮朝期の貨幣流通や財政政策、対外関係について論文および学会発表の形で研究成果を公表した。上田はベトナム在住で、唯一現地調査をフエ近郊及び紅河平野の複数の村落において実施し、外国語による論文を発表している。

The research collaborator conducted an investigation into the research on modern Chinese historical materials. The research results of monetary circulation, fiscal policy, foreign relations and social development in the past few years have been published. Ueda is the only local survey of villages in the suburbs and the Red River Plain.
