项目摘要

本研究は、子どもの教育達成と健康について、(I)マクロ環境のショック、(II)個人の環境、(III)政策の3つの側面から、大規模縦断調査・パネル調査を用いた実証分析を行う。中心として利用する厚生労働省・文部科学省の『21世紀出生児縦断調査』が公的な長期で大規模な縦断調査であるという利点（2001年に出生した子どもを18年近く追跡、コホートの追加あり）を最大限活用し、観察されない個人の異質性を考慮し、差分の差法（DID）や自然実験等の手法で因果関係を解明している。そして、分析で得られた新たな知見を教育政策や厚生労働政策への提言に活かす。現段階では、21世紀出生児縦断調査を用いて、子どもの質と量に関して分析を行い国際学会にて報告を行った。また現段階では、若林は、暮石・マッケンジー・坂田とともに21世紀出生児縦断調査を用いて、子どもの質と量に関して分析を行い、その研究を国際学会にて報告を行った。また湯田・暮石とともに21世紀出生児縦断調査を用いて乳幼児医療制度が子どもの健康などに与える影響について分析を始めている。井深は、21世紀出生児縦断調査のデータセット構築を進め、子どもの健康の決定におけるマクロショックとその他の影響特に家庭環境の影響の分析を開始している。梶谷は睡眠が子どもの健康に与える影響について，関連研究の文献サーベイを行いながら推定手法の妥当性を検討した。

This study conducted empirical analysis of the effects of education and health on children,(I) environmental issues,(II) personal environment,(III) policy issues, large-scale diagnostic surveys, and health surveys.
