Manuscripts in Motion: Tools for Documenting, Analysing and Visualising the Dynamics of Textual Topographies (GP01-G)

The guest project develops methods and software for automatic measurement, documentation and visual analysis of layout features of manuscript or book pages. In close cooperation with selected projects the GP identifies properties of (units in) books which are relevant for the analysis of movements and its modes, i. e. 'transfers', and the de- and recontextualisation of knowledge items in books and corpora that can be subjected to automatic image processing. The results are seamlessly integrated into the digital infrastructure of the collaborative research centre.
