项目摘要

本研究は，多様な情報を調べ，かつ得られた情報を精査するような検索行動を批判的ウェブ検索行動と定義する．本研究の目的は，批判的ウェブ検索行動において重要である多様な情報獲得に焦点をあて，多様な情報を自動的にマイニングし，その存在をユーザに気づかせ，そして獲得を促す研究を進めるための基盤構築を行う．2022年度の主な研究成果の概要は以下の通りである．「小学生に宿題は必要か」のような，賛否両論あるトピックを対象とし，ユーザがウェブ検索を通じてどのようなウェブページの意見を参考にし，複数の情報をどのように集約しているのかをユーザ実験により調査した．その結果，ページの客観性や視点の有無といった基準が重要であることを明らかにした．この結果は，賛否両論あるトピックに関する検索において，信頼できる情報獲得のためのページ推薦などに利用することができる．また，多様情報獲得ためのインタラクション技術についても開発した．具体的には，「糖尿病シナモンお勧め」「糖尿病シナモン効果的でない」といった，ある物質や治療法に関する検索を対象に，ユーザがその物質や治療法の効果の有無についてどのような考えを持っているかを推定する技術について開発した．この技術を用いることで，ユーザが暗においている考えの有効性を問う質問の生成につながる．さらに，音声会話的検索において，深い情報探索を促すための観点の推薦タイミングを調査した．具体的には，「観点推薦なしのインターフェース」,「クエリ応答後即時に観点推薦するインターフェース」，「ユーザが悩んだタイミングで観点推薦するインターフェース」の3つの比較を行い，観点推薦を行うことで多様な情報獲得につながることを明らかにした．その一方で，観点推薦のタイミングに間があると，自発的な情報検索を必ずしも促さず，システムからの観点推薦を待つような行動をとることがあることが分かった．
