本研究は、多血小板血症(PRP)、ヒアルロン酸(HA)、PRPとHAの併用療法の3群間での二重盲検無作為化試験である。研究参加希望者の適応を確認後、同意書を取得しエントリーする。その後割り付けられた薬を5回関節内投与を行い、治療前、1週後、12週後、24週後でのアンケート記載による評価により、3群間の比較を行う。1回目と5回目の関節内投与時には、関節液の採取も同時におこない、凍結保存する。保存した検体は、後日まとめてプロテオーム解析を行う。90名募集予定の臨床研究を開始し、2023年3月31日までに被験者54名がエントリーし、53名が研究開始した。昨年度の報告時24名がエントリーし、21名が研究開始していたので、1年で約30名の研究がすすんだ。コロナ禍でスタートがうまくいかず現時点でまだ、30名程度被験者が足りないため、延長申請をし、新聞媒体を用いた広報も行った。次年度内に90名終了をめざし引き続き臨床試験を継続中である。また、患者から採取した関節液の内、2回とも十分量とることのできた関節液に対して、現在プロテオーム解析中である。ドロップアウトの被験者は昨年度報告した1名のみであり、有害事象は生じていない。研究期間の延長に関しては、特定認定再生医療等委員会での審査を行い、承認を得たため厚生労働大臣に届け出した。
