骨転移を有する患者における骨折予防行動を特定する要素を整理し、その内容を基にモデルの再検討を行なった。中でも、「身体知覚」の影響に関しては疼痛の出現だけでなく、疼痛の緩和も行動を特定する大きな要素となっていた。また、「状況認識」に関しては、がんへの罹患という生命に直結した状況認識の側面と骨に特化した骨脆弱性の認識の側面を有しており、身体知覚を通して認識が大きく変化していくことが明らかになっている。そして、医療者・社会的支援として外部からのはたらきかけに伴い症状の意味づけや画像（CT、MRI）を基にした説明を通して骨脆弱性の自己認識(awareness)が強化され、同時に当事者感も高まっていくことが明らかになり、常に周囲に影響を受けながら変化していくことをモデルに図示した。また、3つ目の中心概念としている「特性・能力」に関しては、本人の可動域を含む身体機能はもちろん、セルフケア能力、価値観、自己概念を含む適用範囲の大きな概念となっている。患者の状況認識や知識獲得・動作習得に大きく関連する要素でもあり、より詳細に内容の抽出が必要と考えられる。セルフケア能力に関しては、オレムのセルフケアエージェンシーにおける１０のパワーコンポーネントを基に、下位概念の整理を行っていく予定。今後、さらに概念分析におけるエンパワーメントの要素として抽出された「今後の見通しがたつ」「健康に関与できる存在としての自分自身に気づく」「自己存在に向き合える」「相互作用を通して周囲の実践的支援と情動的支援を受けることができる」の要素をモデルに組み込み、新たな生活行動を効果的に獲得していくためのモデルとなるよう洗練を行っていく。
