2020年2月以降、世界的に蔓延しているCovid-19の影響により、トルコ共和国イスタンブル市にあるスレイマニイェ図書館等での写本調査が全く行えていない状況にある。このため、昨年度同様、既存のテキスト（イブン・スィーナー著『医学典範』）を利用し、特に本草学関連部分のインデックスの作成作業に努めている。現状では、各項目の打ち込みが終わり、頁の該当箇所の入力作業を行いつつ項目の和訳作業を進めている。加えて、ギリシア語の原綴やラテン語名称の追加も可能なものについては行っている。2022年3月に刊行されたディオスコリデス著『薬物誌』のギリシア語原典からの邦訳、および、その後入手したガレノス著の『薬物事典』、ガーフィキー著の『単純薬についての書』、イブン・バクラリーシュ著の『単純薬』、イブン・バイタール著の『単純薬』などにに収録されている植物、薬用植物等の内容と『医学典範』のそれとの比較作業を継続して行っている。昨年度末に上梓した翻訳書『イスラーム医学』の内容を一般に広く公開する機会には2度ほど恵まれ、成果公開の面では若干の進展があった。
