本研究では、自己意識の障害の定量化および脳内ネットワークの解明を目的とした。これまで脳損傷患者の自己意識の障害に着目した神経心理学的研究をおこなってきた。一方で臨床現場での知見に基づきメカニズムを明らかにする実験心理学研究もおこなってきた。それらの研究を軸に自己意識の障害の包括的な理解を目指した。本年度は、自己意識の障害を定量化するための課題の開発および研究環境・解析環境の整備を行った。脳損傷患者を対象として課題を実施するために、研究協力施設における倫理委員会の承認を経て、脳損傷患者を対象とした研究実施体制を構築した。次いで、自己意識の障害を定量化するための課題の作成を行った。本研究課題では、自己意識の要素として、自己の身体を自己に帰属するものと感じる「所有感」、自己の行為を自己が引き起こしたと感じる「主体感」、両者が時間的に拡張され展望や記憶を含み、一貫した自己の感覚である「物語感」を想定した。所有感については、患者で実施できる簡易版のゴムの手錯覚の開発を、主体感については自分が物事を決めたという意思決定の感覚を定量化する課題の開発を行った。物語感についての課題は、自己顔と他者顔のモーフィングを行うソフトウェアの準備を行った。所有感と主体感を定量化する課題において、動作の確認を行い、患者で実施するために課題の最適化を行った。今後、脳損傷患者への実施準備を進めていく予定である。また、脳損傷患者における自己意識の脳内ネットワークの解明のため、脳画像解析に用いるソフトウェアやデバイスなどの解析環境を整えた。このように本課題の採択により研究活動の円滑なスタートを行うことができた。
