本年度は、コロナ渦で延期されていた国際学会でのセッション発表という形で、成果発表と研究交流を行った。研究代表者と研究分担者4名が７月にパリでおこなわれた世界経済史学会に参加し、各自が複数のセッションで発表を行い交流をはかった。他にも、ICMH（国際海運史会議）、ESSHC（ヨーロッパ社会科学歴史会議）をはじめとする国際・国内学会で研究発表を行ったグローバルヒストリーの研究発展と後進育成という点では、延期となっていた日仏米独の博士課程学生が参加するサマースクールを一週間にわたってEHESSで開催し、ウォーリック大学とEUIが始めた"Whose Global History" という10数か国の歴史家が参加するプロジェクトへの協力を開始し、研究代表者がオンラインシンポジウムなどに参加した。一方、共同研究の二つに分かれたサブ・プロジェクトについては、A班のCategories at Workについては、研究代表者が中心となって今後の研究計画と内容を話し合う打合せを複数回重ね、3月後半に国際ワークショップ Categories at Work をオンラインと対面の双方で開催した。Ｂ班の領事報告を中心に日本・イギリス・東アフリカの関係性を問うプロジェクトでは、8月にオクスフォード大学で3日間にわたって執筆ワークショップを行った。また、各参加研究者の提携機関とのペア交流も進み、分担者の松方冬子氏がオンラインでレクチャーをし、さらに3月にウォーリック大学の大学院生とのワークショップで基調講演を行った。共同研究パートナーであるGiorgio Riello氏とは、分担者の小林和夫氏が共著論文を出版したほか、研究代表者が三つの研究プロジェクトに参加し、研究発表を２回行い、論文集へ寄稿1本を行い、別論文集の校正をすすめた。

This year, the International Academy of Sciences has postponed the launch of research and development activities. The research representatives and the four research contributors participated in the World Economic History Society in July, and each of them had a number of exchanges.
