项目摘要

新型コロナの脅威が弱まり、9月に２年ぶりに渡航することができた。現地教員と学生を交えて、研究の概要を説明するとともに、多様性データの取得方法（昆虫捕獲トラップの作成とその使用方法、サンプルの回収方法、標本の抽出、作成および種同定の方法）を指導するセミナーを行った。また、9月7日の卒業式で来賓としてスピーチを行い、東クタイ県政府関係者や大学関係者および学生とその保護者に研究内容への相互理解を深めることができた。大学のあるサンガタ市周辺と大学演習林があるカランガン周辺で調査地の選定を行った。調査地はランドスケープに占める割合が高い原生的天然林、二次林、オイルパーム園、ゴム園、草地とし、それぞれ６ヶ所ずつ、計30ヶ所とした。また、11月下旬から12月上旬に再度渡航し、依頼した調査の進捗状況の確認および修正を行うとともに、標本の種同定を共同で行った。2月に現地教員のTitis博士を招請し、現地で同定できなかった標本の同定作業を行った。また、現地で問題になっている石炭採掘跡地における森林再生のモデルケースとしての視察を、足尾銅山跡地で行った。依頼していた生物多様性データを3月に受け取り、解析したところ、糞虫の種数と捕獲数は原生的天然林＞二次林＞ゴム園＞草地＝オイルパーム園であった。他の徘徊性甲虫類はゴム園と草地で多かった。ハチ類の種数は天然林、二次林と草地で多かった。オランウータンは原生的天然林で記録された。樹木データは今後解析予定である。
