発展途上国において、低投入・高収量型の稲作農法として「System of Rice Intensification(SRI)」と呼ばれる技術が注目を浴びている。しかし、その普及率は一般に非常に低い。なぜ一見有望な農業技術が普及していないのか？本研究では、この大きな問いに答えるために、 バングラデシュを事例として、大規模ランダム化比較試験を実施する。とりわけ、一部の作業機械化による労働制約の緩和による影響やSRIや機械化を伴うSRIの所得・利潤効果 及び労働・生産物市場への一般均衡効果を検証する。2020年度から研究が開始されたが、2020年度はコロナの影響により、実質的な現地の作業がほぼできなかった。2021年度は、遅れを取り戻すべく、以下を実施した。a) 調査対象地域の特定、b)家計・村落調査実施機関の選定、c）ベースライン家計・村落調査、d)機械化を伴うSRIのデモンストレーション。家計・村落調査は、現地の農業事情に詳しいSocioeconomic Consultantに委託している。これまで、全対象75カ村の村レベルの情報（インフラ状況、賃金率など）と実験開始前の家計情報（家計構成員の属性、土地所有状況、農業・非農業活動の詳細）を各村25家計づつ、計1875家計分収集し、現在はデータクリーニングを行っている。機械化を伴うSRIのデモンストレーションはランダムに選ばれた25カ村で実施し、技術の詳細を説明したビデオを作成した。

On the way to development, China's low-input and high-yield rice farming methods are called "System of Rice Intensification(SRI)" and "Technology" are in the spotlight. The penetration rate is generally very low. A vision of agricultural technology is expected to be popularized. This study was conducted on the basis of a large-scale comparative experiment. To demonstrate the general equilibrium effect of SRI mechanization and SRI profitability. The 2020 annual study will begin, and the 2020 annual study will focus on the impact and quality of on-site operations. In 2021, the following measures were taken: a) identification of survey target areas, b) selection of household/village survey implementation agencies, c) selection of household/village surveys, d) mechanization of SRI survey implementation. Home planning, village survey, local agricultural affairs in detail, commissioned by Socioeconomic Consultant. All information about 75 villages (including information on the status of the village and the rental rate) and information about the family planning before the start of the project (information on family planning members, land ownership status, and details of agricultural and non-agricultural activities) were collected from 25 families in each village and 1875 families were scored. Mechanization is accompanied by SRI's development plan, which is selected from 25 countries, and technical details are described.
