「インフラ整備と貿易費用」「インフラ整備と生産性」「制度設計と貿易費用」「制度設計と生産性」の各テーマについて理論モデルの構築と分析を行い、分析結果の現実経済との整合性の検証を通じてグローバル経済におけるインフラと制度資本の構築・整備の在り方を検討した。研究代表者は、インフラ整備と貿易費用および生産性に関して、(1)公共インフラが存在する貿易モデルにおける貿易パターンや貿易利益の分析、(2)寡占的に行動する大企業と独占的競争の下で行動する小企業とが混在する状況における、寡占企業の研究開発投資による公共資本ストック形成の動学的投資ゲームの分析、(3)異質的企業の存在する産業内貿易モデルにおける、政府間の輸送インフラへ投資の動学的政策ゲームの分析を行った。(1)に関しては国際学術誌への論文発表と学会発表、(2)と(3)に関しては国際ワークショップや国内学会での発表を行った。また関連する研究として環境資源ストックの生産性効果が存在する下での国際貿易の効果に関する論文を国際学術誌に発表した。研究分担者は、インフラ整備と生産性に関して、生活基盤投資を中心として国際資本移動・経済成長に関する研究や、生産性ショックと再分配効果の基礎研究を行った。制度設計と生産性に関して、1760年代～1980年代に3つの産業革命がほぼ等間隔で発生した歴史的事実を説明する新しい2次元エルゴード・カオス理論を構築した。また、シュンペーター流成長モデルの枠組みで政府のレントシーキング行動が経済発展を阻害する可能性を示した。制度設計と貿易費用に関して、中間財と最終財がともに企業選抜を通じて貿易される状況における貿易弾力性や貿易自由化の厚生利益の比較や、輸入と輸出を同時に行っているグローバル企業が経済厚生に果たす役割を考察した。各研究成果は査読誌掲載論文やワーキングペーパーとして発表した。

(1)(2) and (3) are related to the development of international academic journals and domestic academic journals. The paper on the relationship between environmental resources and productivity is published in the International Journal. The research partner conducts basic research on the effects of capital mobility, economic growth, productivity and redistribution. System design and productivity are closely related to the history of the industrial revolution from the 1760s to the 1980s.
