项目摘要

2022年4月の第13回戦争社会学研究会研究大会にて、テーマセッション「軍事と環境」が戦争社会学研究会と本科研費の研究会との共催で行われ、研究代表者と研究分担者1名が報告者となり、討論者のうち1名を研究分担者が務めた。軍事が環境や地域社会にもたらす諸問題について、研究の最前線を紹介してほしいという戦争社会学研究会からの依頼に応えた形で開催され、多くの質問が出て、活発な議論がなされた。それらの共同で行った研究成果発表のみならず、研究代表者や研究分担者が各自のフィールドでの調査の成果を著書や論文として発表し、学会発表をした。例えば著書に関して、研究分担者である熊本は、単著として『交差する辺野古ー問いなおされる自治』(勁草書房,2021年)と『辺野古入門』(筑摩書房,2022年)を相次いで刊行した。また、ロニー・アレキサンダーは共著で『Teaching Peace and War:　Pedagogy and Curricula』と『The Challenges of Island Studies』を刊行した。長島は『日本の国際協力アジア編─経済成長から「持続可能な社会」の実現へ』や『歴史で読むアメリカ』『新自由主義の呪縛と深層暴力─グローバルな市民社会の構想に向けて』で1章を分担執筆した。これらの著書だけでなく、学会誌での学術論文の発表や国際学会での発表、学会での依頼講演など、豊富な研究業績が得られた。また、年に2回、研究会を開催し、各自のフィールド調査で得えられた知見を発表し合って議論したり、広島市と呉市でガイド付きで戦争遺構を見学するフィールドワークを行った。
