新型コロナウィルス感染症の制限が緩和されたことで、国内および海外（インドンネシア、ネパール、ラオス）でのフィールド調査を実施することができた。海外のフィールド調査では、政策レベルで性教育にかかわるステークホルダー（国および地方レベル、教員養成レベル、教員レベル）にインタビュー調査を行った。インタビュー調査に加え、性教育を行っている実際の授業を視察するとともに、性教育に関する各種教材を収集した。またネパールでは、対象とする生徒および教員に向けて質問紙調査を行った。日本においても、教員養成に携わる教員および教員養成コースに在籍している学生に向けて、質問紙調査を行った。フィリピン、英国、中国に関しては、包括的性教育とそれに関連する領域の政策についての文書分析を完了した。これらの国に関しても、今後、フィールド調査を進める予定である。インドネシア、フィリピンから研究協力者を招へいするとともに、国内の研究分担者を招集して、包括的性教育に関する国際ワークショップを2日間にわたって大阪大学で開催した。ワークショップでは、各国におけるフィールド調査および文書分析の結果を共有したうえで、比較研究のキーポイントについて議論を交わした。また学術論文3編分の内容を草稿するとともに、出版ポリシーについても話し合った。これまでの研究成果について、複数の国内学会および国際学会で発表するとともに、その一部については論文発表も行った。
