令和4年度は4か年計画の3年目であったが、コロナ禍により対面での研究会はおこなわず、チームで行う調査研究と個人の研究関心に基づいた個人研究の二側面から研究を進めた。調査研究については二つの調査を実施した。一つは短期大学教員調査である。短期大学に所属する教員の約半数（約3000人）を対象として質問紙調査を実施し、約1000人から回答を得た。自由記述欄への回答も多く、現在データの入力作業を進めている。データ析と論文発表は令和5年度に行われる。もう一つは学生調査である。令和4年度には質問紙調査を作成するとともに、K短期大学を対象にプレ調査を実施した。プレ調査からは、大学に対する満足度が高いこと、満足度は学科によって異なること等がわかった。本調査は令和5年度に実施し、引き続きデータ解析と論文執筆を行う。次に、研究課題に対応した個人研究の実績である。研究分担者の稲永由紀は、短期大学を非大学型高等教育と位置づけ、特に教員の活動に焦点を当てて研究を進めた。その成果は、『高等教育研究』に掲載される予定である。同じく研究分担者の葛城浩一は、短期大学を含む大学の多様性に着目して、そうしたなかでの大学教員のキャリアパスについて研究を進め、神戸大学『大学教育研究』に論文を掲載した。浦田広朗は高等教育の修学支援新制度に着目し、それが大学財務と学生生活・家計にどのような影響を与えているかを明らかにし、論文を『私学高等教育研究叢書』に掲載した。西本佳代は貧困や児童養護施設入所経験という「困難を有する」学生の大学進学について研究を進め、日本高等教育学会で発表した。
