项目摘要

本研究は、アメリカこそが新たな「シオン」であると考えてきたアメリカ・ユダヤ人の一部のあいだで、アメリカとパレスチナの地の二つの「シオン」が共存可能であるという認識に至った過程を考察するために、特に改革派ユダヤ教における「シオン」という用語の解釈の変遷過程を整理することを目的としている。2021年度前期は主たる調査機関となる文書館（American Jewish Archives、シンシナティ）がコロナ禍の影響で閉鎖されていたこと、後期になり条件付きで開館されたものの、学振PD受入機関の方針に従い、年度内に海外での資料調査を実施することはできなかった。大幅な研究計画の変更を余儀なくされたものの、二次文献を収集し、精読することに重点を置き、現代アメリカ・ユダヤ人にとっての「巡礼」の捉え直しについて考察することで、アメリカ・ユダヤ人の「シオン」観の分析を試みた。同テーマに関しては現在（2022年5月）、論文を投稿中である。その他、アメリカにおける改革派ユダヤ教の祈祷書改訂の歴史を辿ることで、シオニズム観の変遷について考察した。その過程で得られた成果の一部は中間報告として、2021年9月に開催された日本宗教学会で報告した。（報告要旨：石黒安里「米国改革派ユダヤ教のシオニズム観――祈祷書改訂の事例から――」『宗教研究』95（別冊）2022年3月、168－169頁。）こちらに関しては、論文投稿のために確認するべき一次史料があることから、現時点では論文としての完成には至らなかった。採用年度一年目からコロナ禍にみまわれ、米国での資料調査の実施は不可能であったが、本研究課題の要の一つでもあった、アメリカのユダヤ教に対するキリスト教の影響に関しては二次文献を講読することに注力を注ぎ、オンライン上で人的ネットワークを形成することで、今後研究を遂行していく上での基盤を形成することができた。
