２０２１年度は、前年度に実施困難であった当事者に対する聞き取り調査を中心に進め、その他、前年度からの研究を発展させた。第１に、当事者に対する聞き取り調査である。①まず、東京都山谷地域において、支援団体のご紹介を受けて、当事者への聞き取り調査を実施した。複数の聞き取りを行った８名の方のオーラルヒストリーを整理している段階である。②つづいて、聞き取り調査をもとに、①単身男性の労働からの移行の困難、②山谷地域における路上生活から生活保護への析出過程、③支援団体によって生まれるつながりと「仕事」という３つの知見を得た。この知見をもとに、受入研究者のゼミナールや、外部研究会にて研究報告を行った。この間にいただいたコメントをもとに、次年度の学会報告・論文投稿の準備を進めている。第２に、社会調査等の収集に関してである。CiNiiや「日本の古本屋」を利用して、山谷や貧困地域に関する資料の収集を進めた。第３に、支援者に対する聞き取りは、今年度は集中的には行わなかった。ただ、上記の当事者への聞き取り調査に関連して、山谷の現況や歴史についてご教示いただく機会をもった。第４に、前年度に引き続いて、感染症拡大の状況下で研究活動を止めないため、本研究課題の枠組みや前提となる分析もあわせて行った。具体的には、①東京都を中心とした知的障害者のライフコースの歴史的な分析を行った。また、②現在の障害者福祉制度がどのような枠組みで形成されたのかについて、とくに通所施設との関係で分析した。
