项目摘要

本年度は、研究課題「君主号から見た中国魏晋南北朝隋唐時代における多民族社会の変容」の中で取り扱う君主号の中から、特に「天可汗」を選び研究を進展させた。当初の計画で「唐皇帝の天可汗併称と皇帝号の変質に関する検討」と題していた部分である。また、その検討の過程で唐代に編纂された『通典』への検討の必要性が生じた。以下、順を追って確認していく。天可汗に関する研究は、前年度の報告「現実と観念の天可汗―唐代における天可汗の拡大解釈―」を踏まえ、論文化した「天可汗の現実と理想―拡大解釈された唐太宗の天可汗」（『東洋史研究』81巻3号、2022年）がある。本稿によって、唐太宗の天可汗とは所謂四夷全体を統括するようなものではなく、突厥と唐との関係においてのみ用いられた称号であった事を明らかにした。また、そうであるにも関わらず、何故、唐が四夷に君臨する象徴として天可汗が用いられたのかというと、それは『通典』がそのような天可汗を叙述したからだと思われる。ここに『通典』を史料批判的に研究する必要が生まれた。『通典』に関する研究としては、「試論《通典・職官典》―従杜佑的思想和《通典》叙述的関係切入」南京師範大学主催シンポジウム「中古時代的文本世界与物質世界」（オンライン開催）2022年6月19日（中国語発表）を行い、『通典』職官典が杜佑の思想にかなり影響を受けた叙述を行っている事を指摘した。これは『通典』が必ずしも客観的な記録の集成とは見做せない事を意味する。また、職官典の中でも特に太僕卿に着目し、論文「『通典』職官典叙述小考」（『歴史文化社会講座紀要』20号、2023年）を公刊した。
