今年度は、①外来採集者の活動展開についての研究発表、②天然香木のガバナンスの現地調査、③地元採集者の香木採集実践データの分析を実施した。第一に、外来採集者の活動展開について、環境社会学会研究例会において「ボルネオ島の香木資源をめぐる外来採集者の展開と原産地社会の対応」という題目で発表し、関連分野の研究者からフィードバックを得た。これは、外来採集者の香木採集活動の展開を「インフォーマルな森林資源開発」として捉え、過年度に現地調査で収集したデータから、開発を可能にした条件を整理したものであった。第二に、天然香木のガバナンスについて、インドネシアで現地調査を実施した。天然香木ガバナンスの法令上の仕組みと実態を明らかにするため、現地では環境林業省、天然資源保全事務所、生産林管理事務所や州林業局でインタビューと資料収集を行った。調査からは、二種類の許認可制度があり、運用で齟齬が生じていることが分かった。第三に、地元採集者の香木採集実践について、天然香木の個体数維持の観点からその実践を評価するために、過年度に収集したデータを新たに分析した。インドネシア北カリマンタン州のプナン社会について、その慣習地における天然香木（Aquilaria beccariana）の個体群密度を推定した上で、地元採集者の採集の影響を年間伐倒圧として算出することで検討した。その結果、保全的とされてきた地元採集者の採集方法であっても、特定地域に採集が集中することで天然香木が枯渇することが示唆された。

This year, we will conduct research on (1) the activities of foreign collectors,(2) the field investigation of natural incense trees, and (3) the analysis of the practices of geological collectors of incense trees. First, the activities of foreign collectors are carried out. The research meeting of the Environmental Society is held. The topic is "The development of foreign collectors and the relationship between the origin society and the elm resources of the island." The development of elm collection activities by foreign collectors and the investigation of forest resources in the past year have been organized. Second, the investigation of natural fragrant wood is carried out in situ. The Ministry of Environment and Forestry, the Natural Resources Conservation Office, the Production Forest Management Office and the State Forestry Bureau are responsible for data collection. Investigation, two kinds of approval system, application, dispute, dispute, Third, the collection of elm trees by geo-collectors, the maintenance of individual numbers of elm trees, and the evaluation of their implementation. The population density of natural Aquilaria beccariana was estimated and the influence of geological collector was calculated.
