项目摘要

2021年度は、「～ハツ」「～ヌク」といった動作の〈完遂〉を表す複合動詞の意味的な用法が通時的にどのような変化をたどってきたのかについての調査を行った。本研究では、特に複合動詞前項がどのような時間的特徴を持った動詞なのかを先行研究をもとに分類し、それを主な基準として用法分類を行った。また、〈完遂〉を表す複合動詞がどのような歴史的過程を経て現在の使い分けに至ったのか明らかにするために、複合動詞相互の比較を行った本年度は「～ハツ」「～ヌク」の調査を中心に行い、これらの複合動詞と比較するために「～オワル」等の調査を行った。まず、書籍や論文等を用いて先行研究の調査を行い、そこから参考にできる部分及び現状の課題を整理した。さらに上代から近代の資料を用いて用例採集を行い、先行研究を参考にしつつ用法の分類を行い、歴史的な用法の変遷過程及びその要因を明らかにした。さらに、これまで調査してきたものを含む〈完遂〉を表す複合動詞相互の関係を考慮に入れ、これら複合動詞の通時的な影響関係や棲み分けについて検討した。「～トオス」「～ヌク」といった複合動詞では〈通過〉や〈抜出〉といった後項「トオス」や「ヌク」のもともと持っていた語彙的な意味が複合動詞の用法にも反映されるため、前項にくる動詞が限定的になりやすいことが分かった。また、「～ハツ」の〈完遂〉用法はしだいに衰退していくが、これには、「～ハツ」内部の用法の変化だけでなく、「～オワル」がしだいに〈完遂〉を表す複合動詞として多用されるようになったことも関係していると考えられる。「～ヌク」「～ハツ」については論文化を行い（「～ハツ」は未刊行だが論文の掲載が決定している）、これまでの調査結果をまとめた。
