今年度も引き続き加法的汎関数の応用として災害債券のモデルについて研究していた。具体的にはジャンプのサイズを指数分布とする複合ポアソン過程を根源的なリスクとしてゼロ債をモデリングし、プライスデータのみから根源的なプロセスのパラメータを推計する手法を研究していた。手順としては興味のある根源的リスク以外の部分の影響を推計し除去、その上で複合ポアソン過程の特定の水準への到達確率の経時的な変化を離散的なダイナミクスで表現、その式からパラメータを推計することを考えた。その際、より明示的にダイナミクスを表現できないかという研究計画段階で想定していた部分以外の検討事項が発生し、そちらに関しても取り組んだ。また、シミュレーションをするにあたって膨大な処理を行うために、言語仕様に関する研究も行なった。この手法は投資家が災害リスクを推計する際に有用である。本来、災害債券は投資家よりも発行した保険会社の方が災害リスクを見積もるための情報を所持していると考えられ、そこに情報の非対称性がある。その情報の非対称性を過去の同種のリスク、たとえば同地域の地震に対して発行された災害債券のプライスを見ることで軽減できる可能性がある。加えて単純にプライスの動きに確率過程をフィットするのではなく、災害という形が見えない本来のリスクをモデル化して推計するという手法であるため、単純な債券だけではなく複雑な構造を持っている金融商品のプライスにも応用ができるという部分が有意義だと考えられる。
