项目摘要

これまで、仏教論理学研究の中心となるのは、ディグナーガ（陳那, ca. 480-540 CE）とダルマキールティ（法称, ca. 600-660 CE）である。近年、ダルマキールティの一人の後継者として知られるダルモーッタラ（法上, ca. 750-810 CE）の独特の思想に着目し、そのインド思想史上の位置づけを問い直す研究が現れてきているが、法上の思想を体系的かつ包括的に検討しようとする試みが未だ全くなされていない。これが法上思想研究の最大の問題点と言える。本研究は、インド中世の仏教哲学者ダルモーッタラが残した論理学注釈書『正理一滴論注』を主な資料として、彼独自の認識論や論理学を明らかにし、彼がインド思想史上で果たした役割について考察しようとするものである。令和4年度で、以下の2点を中心とした取り組みを行った。1. 『正理一滴論注』を用いて、仏教認識論や論理学における重要概念である「欺かないこと」と「論証式」に対するダルモーッタラの理解を解明して国内（日本印度学仏教学会第73回学術大会など）と国際学会（The 18th World Sanskrit Conference）での発表と学術雑誌（『印度学仏教学研究』）への論文投稿を精力的に行った。2. ダルマキールティ著『量決択論』及び当作品に対するダルモーッタラの注釈『量決択論注』の解読1については、これら諸概念を考察することにより、ダルモーッタラはダルマキールティの思想体系を着実に踏まえて、その内実を保ちながら、ダルマキールティの諸定義を自身の理解に基づいて修正しつつ、認識論にのみならず、論理学においても独自の考えを示し出していることがわかる。さらに、ダルモーッタラの思想が後代の思想家たちによってどのような形で受け継がれたことを明確にした。このように、哲学者としてのダルモーッタラに対する精研は、インド思想史の構築に必要不可欠なものであることを明らかにした。
