项目摘要

（１）現地での史資料蒐集・研究相談令和４年度は４月～８月と２月～３月の計６ヶ月間、バルセロナおよびマリョルカに滞在し、現地での史資料蒐集に従事した。具体的には、マリョルカ王国文書館、マリョルカ司教座聖堂文書館、マリョルカ司教区文書館（いずれもパルマ・デ・マリョルカ）、アラゴン連合王国文書館（バルセロナ）、国立歴史文書館（マドリー）を訪問し、13世紀のキリスト教徒による征服・土地分配・入植運動にかかわる一連の羊皮紙文書および国王文書登録簿を閲覧・分析した。また、バルセロナ大学リカール・ソト・クンパニ先生の計らいのもと、在亜のマリョルカ史研究者プラシー・ペレス・パストール氏とバレアールス諸島大学アントニ・マス・フォルネルス先生と対面し、研究内容と今後の研究方針について相談をおこなった。（２）論文執筆当該年度では、1229年のアラゴン連合王国国王ジャウマ１世によるマリョルカ島征服後に作成された王領地の財産目録『マリョルカ分配記録』に記録された２つの数量単位、ジョバーダとカバリェリアとの間の数的関係を明らかにした学術論文を執筆した。ジョバーダは一般に「二頭立ての雄牛が１日に犂耕できる面積」に相当する面積単位であり、『マリョルカ分配記録』にはその数値が島内農村部の農村集落（アルケリアおよびラハル）の名称とともに網羅的に記録されている。同時代の裁判文書および個別の土地分配文書の分析を通じて明らかとなったのは、ジョバーダ単位の数値が従来論じられてきたような実測値とは関係がなく、むしろ土地分配の数的指標として機能したもう一方の単位であるカバリェリアと一定の数的関係をもって、系統的な土地分配を実施するために利用された紙面上の計算値であったという点である。この研究成果はカタルーニャ語論文として現地の雑誌にまもなく投稿する予定である。また、一部は日本語論文として『西洋史学報』に投稿予定である。
