本研究は、上方舞の“吉村流の芸風(舞の特徴）”を、過去に収録された作品の映像を用い,ダートフィッシュ社の運動分析ソフトウェアを利用することによって、吉村流が引き継ぐ芸風のエッセンスを客観的に浮き彫りにし、古典芸能の芸の伝承という点から有益な情報を保存することを目的とする4年間の研究である。本年度は3年目である。映像資料は、吉村流四世 吉村雄輝（人間国宝 1923年2月2日 - 1998年1月29日）、六世 吉村輝章（現家元 1947年 - ）に加えて、五世吉村雄輝夫（1932年 6月30日 - 2000年 5月3日）を加えたの舞台映像である。本年は、家元3人の映像が揃う作品「世界」から、１)歌詞「誰も廓の里ことば」と歌詞「解けてひらきし、さらばかき」の扇面の動き、２）歌詞「椋鳥か」の首の動きの範囲の差異、３）歌詞「出口にあらぬ打ち込みに」「もつれもつれし口説さえ」の演技時の手首の動き、４)作品「雪」における歌詞「凍る衾に鳴く音もさぞな　さなきだに」の傘の動きを、ソフトウェアのストローモーション機能、および編集モジュールを利用し動きの可視化を行った。１）扇動作の軌跡の違いをみると、四世、六世に比して、五世の扇面の角度が比較的鋭角に、かつ体に近い位置でコンパクトに動かしていた。　２）首の動きでも、四世、六世が左右の振れ幅が多いのに比して、五世の移動は少なくコンパクトであった。３）手首の動きでも、四世および六世が顔を中心に大きく円を描くように上下左右に動かしていることに比して、五世は顔から胸のあたりを中心にコンパクトな動きが見て取れた。４)「雪」の傘の動きでは、四世は大きく円を書くように、六世は比較的四世に似た運動、五世は、円運動ではあるが、やはり四世に比べてコンパクトであった。研究の課題として、運動のトレースに多くの時間が必要であり、既存映像の分析の難しさに直面している。
