The project aims a edition of the first part of the Tauler sermons in the course of the Liturgical year as printed in the Basel edition. It s focused on the reception of the sermons and provides a comprehensive commentary. There is an urgent need for an edition like this due to the enormous impact of Tauler for the following centuries. Different to the sermons for the Saints, these sermons could be read and used in both major confessions. Rendering these sermons available for scholarship, the edition provides a basis for studies in literature, history, theology and other disciplines.
