3年目にあたる当該年度においては、令和3年度に活字化した「村野四郎初期作品資料―『体操詩集』前後の俳句資料を中心に―」の補遺を目的とした資料の収集を、書籍目録等を中心に行った。それと同時に、蓄積した資料をもとに、本研究の主たる目的である『体操詩集』の作品研究を行った。具体的には、モダニズム詩集として定説化された『体操詩集』を、体操教育及び修身教育等の教育制度史を視座に再検討し、戦時下の抵抗詩が含まれていることを新たに実証することである。『体操詩集』の最後に収録された「肋木」は、これまでの『体操詩集』研究においてほとんど注目されておらず、また「肋木」の初出の原題が「近代修身」であることも、これまでの研究において指摘されていなかった。本研究では収集した資料をもとに、この「肋木」と、『体操詩集』以後に刊行予定で結局未完となった『近代修身』に関する「近代修身」連作詩との関連から、『体操詩集』の再評価を行った。現在、その内容を論文にまとめ、活字化に向けて準備中である。なお、新型コロナの影響が続いていたため、資料収集・調査研究を目的とした出張ができず、本研究に必要不可欠な当時の雑誌等を閲覧しての調査が進まなかった。よって3年目に完成を予定していた俳句以外の作品（詩・詩論・散文等）も含めた「村野四郎作品年譜」の作成を計画通りに進めることができなかった。一方、各種目録や目次等による調査は進めてきたので、今後データ整理と直接文献を閲覧しての調査が必要である。
