まだ試論の段階だが、ベトナム出身の技能実習生に関連する複数のインタビューに基づいて、まず以下の３つの項目を中心に検討をはじめた。1.「周移住期」概念の検討：「周産期」とは妊娠22週から生後7日未満の期間と定められている。外国人支援の場合は、支援の受益者となることが予想される外国人本人の言語行動の軌跡を軸に、来日前から来日後の一定期間を１つの決定的な連続体として捉え直すことができないか。2.多職種連携によるサポート体制の検討：妊娠と同じように、日本への移住が決まった後、実際に移住し生活の基盤ができるまで、外国人就労者は一気に多機関・多職種とかかわることになる。周移動期において外国人の送り出し・受け入れ組織以外に、どのような多機関・多職種が関わりうるのか、その関わりによって外国人就労者の言語環境にどのような影響を与えるか、多職種の連携によるサポート体制をどのように考えることが可能か。3.方法論の検討：精神医学の分野では、カウンセリングによる事例分析をはじめ、自己評価票を用いた産婦健診や、妊婦用文章完成法や、minor symptomsと呼ばれる妊娠による不快な自覚症状の特定と抽出などの研究法が実践されている。これらの知見は中長期在留予定の外国人就労者の支援体制づくりに示唆を与えることが期待できるか。以上の内容に基づき、日本言語政策学会第24回研究大会で共同研究者と合同研究発表を行った（発表題目：「周産期精神医療研究は外国人就労者支援策に示唆を与えるか：周移住期の言語環境構築モデルについての試論」（2022年6月18日於京都大学）。
