2022年度（令和4年度）に、世界中の新型コロナウイルスのパンデミックの余波が本研究課題に悪影響を及ぼしたため、本研究課題の進捗状況が遅れている。そもそもの計画において、2022年度（令和4年度）以内に、科学研究助成金を利用して、1回日本国内学術大会において、そして1回海外の国際学術大会において自分の研究成果に関する発表を行い、学術論文を出版する予定であった。しかしながら、新型コロナウイルスのパンデミックの結果、通常学術大会発表を行ったり、学術論文を発表する学会の学術大会は2022年度（令和4年度）にも完全に中止になり、その学会が通常定期的に出版する学術誌の出版も完全に中止になった。その結果、新しい大会を探す必要があったため、遅れが発生した。それにもかかわらず、下記の具体的な研究実績がある。(1) 2021年度(令和3年度)に執筆したけれどもまだ出版されていない学術図書の章（チャプター）について他の歴史言語学の研究者と討論した。(2) 図書、論文などを含む情報を収集した。(3) それらの図書、論文などにおける情報を分析した。(4) ツングース語・日本語語源（Tunguso-Japanese etymologies）（即ち、ツングース語から古代日本語への借用語）を含む、自分で構築した大規模な語彙コーパス（lexical corpus）を拡大することができた。2022年（令和4年）4月18日には約454頁で、単語数は約214,000語だったが、今現在（2023年（令和5年）4月17日）は約560頁で、単語数は約253,000語になった。
