(1)西都市麟祥院蔵「妻萬宮旧蔵大般若波羅蜜多経」調査麟祥院および西都市教育委員会の全面的な協力のもと、原本調査と写真撮影を行った。調査は、5回（2日、4日×4度）に分けて、都合18日にわたって実施した。原本調査と写真撮影は、奥書のみではなく、各巻の全体を対象とし、裏面の文字も確認した。写真撮影は完了し、原本調査は巻500台まで終了した。原本調査を終えたものについては、200番台は元徳2年(1331)に書写されたものが多い。巻301～400の100巻は、「国中乱劇」により失われていたのを、新田郷（宮崎県新富町）花薗寺先達重亀が旦那となり料紙の費用などを負担し、天文11年(1542)～12年に輪蔵院宥運が書写し、妻万宮（宮崎県西都市）に施入したものという。また近代の修補によって、異なる巻を誤って一巻とする（混巻）が散見する（巻500台など）。(2)仏像調査延岡市内の仏像を調査した。普門寺の十一面観音像は、平安時代後期の作とみられる。梅木の仏像3体（薬師如来坐像・十一面観音像・地蔵菩薩半跏像）のうち、薬師如来坐像は天文22年(1553)の奥書がある。
