项目摘要

本研究では、ペルー南部高地の牧民共同体の事例から、南米ラクダ科動物の持続的利用の可能性と、外部からもたらされる変化に対する共同体の人びとの選択の動態を明らかにすることを目的としている。2022年度は、予定していたクスコ県の牧民共同体でのフィールドワークと、アレキパ市に本拠地を置くアルパカ繊維企業でのインタビュー調査を実施した。補足的に、クスコ市のアルパカ毛販売店と政府機関関係者にも、アルパカ毛流通や品質改良に関する聞き取りを行った。おもな成果は以下の通りである。1）牧民共同体では、家畜の品質改良の進展、有色個体所有の現状、家畜と人の関係に焦点を当てて聞き取りした。調査範囲は限定的であったが、一部の成員がアルパカの有色個体を再導入していること、工芸品製作者に有色毛販売を開始したことを確認した。2）クスコ州行政機関所属の技術者へのインタビューでは、有色個体回復に対する政府からの本格的な支援はまだなく、生産者である牧民への品質改良支援は白色個体を対象に継続しているとのことだった。有色毛では品質等において課題があることもわかった。3）繊維企業では獣医師にインタビューを行った。アルパカ毛市場においては依然として白色毛が量・価格ともに優勢であること、大規模繊維企業がアンデス高地の一部の地域でアソシエーションを組織し、生産者支援を行っていることが明らかとなった。ここまでの本研究課題の成果公開として、アンデス牧民・家畜・自然との関わりについて執筆した論文が学会の記念出版物の1章として刊行された。その内容を中心とした口頭発表も行った。
