2022年度は、オンラインインタビュー調査および2021年度までに収集した文献調査を中心に実施した。また、タジキスタンの研究者とともに、2023年2月にタジキスタンの地中熱エネルギーについて国際学会報告を実施した（Ilolov M. Ilolov A., Inagaki F., Rahmatov J., "Stochastic Fractality of the Gilondi Geothermal Reservoir,"48th Stanford Geothermal Workshop (Frances Arrillaga Alumni Center, Stanford University, USA)。また、ロシア＝ウクライナ戦争の影響が中央アジアのエネルギー供給に及ぼす影響についてオンラインでインタビュー調査を行い、2022年11月以降はロシア産のガソリンが安価になるなど、制裁で西側市場を失ったロシア産の流入が見られるようになっていることが明らかになった。また、『国際安全保障』50（4)に「資源から見た中央アジアとアフガニスタン―資源を通じた地域協力の深化と課題－」と題し、中央アジア域内での協調的なエネルギーガバナンスが誕生しつつあることを指摘するとともに「クリーン・エネルギーを巡る国際協力－ユーラシア・グリーンベルトの可能性－」熊谷嘉隆・水野智仁編『秋田から考えるアジアの地域季協力』葦書房、2022年にて、クリーン・エネルギーに関連する資源を埋蔵する中央アジアとの地域協力の可能性について分析した。学会等報告については、前述のタジキスタンとの研究者との共同研究に加えて、日本リアルオプション学会（2022年12月）や学術的資源開発研究会にて中央アジアのエネルギー資源を巡る対立要因と強調要因について報告を行った。
