项目摘要

令和4年度は企業の集積効果に関する広範な文献サーベイ、スタートアップ企業の立地要因に関する統計分析の2つに注力した。まず、本年はスタートアップ企業の文脈に限定せず、経済地理学など範囲を広げて集積効果に関する先行研究を渉猟した。その結果、最近の先行研究において集積効果が微細な地理的スケールでしか継続しない、あるいは同じ建物の中でも集積効果が生じうること等が示されており、本研究課題の構想と両立する研究が近年増加していることを確認した。同時に、それらの微細な地理的スケールの集積効果に着目する研究の中でも、スタートアップ企業の新規設立や立地選択にそれらの集積効果が及ぼす影響は十分に明らかにされていないこと、また企業間競争など企業の集積によって生じる負の効果に着目した研究は乏しいことも明らかになった。以上より、本研究が当該領域において果たしうる貢献を一層明確にすることができた。次に、前年度に引き続きスタートアップ企業の立地要因に関する統計分析を行った。前年度に作成したデータセットにベンチャー・キャピタルやアクセラレータ・プログラムを運営している企業、大学等の立地情報を付加し、データセットの拡充に努めた。その上で、スタートアップ企業の設立場所や立地戦略の決定要因について更なる統計分析を行った。昨年度の分析を精緻化した結果を纏めたプロポーザルを当該領域の主要な国際学会であるStrategic Management Society（SMS）の年次大会に投稿した。本プロポーザルは採択され、令和5年度に報告予定である。
