本研究では、事業を承継した女性経営者を主な対象に、経営者自身の生活体験や家族との関係、またそういったことを通じてはぐくまれた心性や感性が事業承継の決断にどのような影響を与えたか、また承継後の経営活動にどう関係しているか、といったことを課題に研究しているところである。これまでは、主に大阪府下の石油ランプ製作所を対象に創業（大正期）から現代までの歴史的背景やランプ産業の推移等も視野に、現経営者および先代経営者（ともに女性）がどのような経緯で事業を承継するに至ったか、また製品や事業に対する思い等について聞き取りと資料分析から考察してきた。今年度は同企業に対する補足の聞き取りと共に、より多くの女性経営者の承継動機や経営活動について知るためにまず資料収集と文献調査、聞き取り調査を行った。事業を継承した女性経営者への聞き取りは、大阪のアイスキャンデー製造・販売企業、東京の文房具・事務機器販売会社、切削工具研磨会社、歯ブラシ・介護用品製造会社の4社に対して行った。東京の3社は、家業を承継した女性経営者の交流団体である跡取り娘共育協会のメンバーである。これまで調査対象であったランプ製作所の場合、ランプという製品に対する強い思いが事業承継の決断の背景にあったことが聞き取りから感じられたが、今年度新たに調査した4社では、そのような商品に対する思いから承継した例はなく、家業自体を続けなければならない、会社をつぶしてはならないといった思い、あるいは特に承継を意識したことはなく、入社してから経営に興味がわくようにになった、商売自体が好きだった、また先代である親に説得されて等承継に至る動機は様々であった。ただし、共通して見られたのは、先代である親（父または母）との関係性が事業承継に大きく関係しているということであった。ただし、まだ聞き取りの分析が十分ではないため、今後も分析を続ける。

In the past, we have made great efforts to improve the quality of our products. The relationship between the father and the mother is the relationship between the father and the mother. We're going to have to do some analysis.
