新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響および公務多忙により、調査研究が思うように進んでいない状況をふまえ、調査期間を2023年度に延長することを決定した。2022年度のドイツへの訪問調査は断念した。国内のドイツ教育に関する研究者が実施した研究会に参加し、コロナ禍におけるドイツの学校の教育実践について理解を深めた。公務多忙のため中断していた共同研究者との研究会を2022年度の後半から再開し、ドイツ国内におけるテーマ型・プログラム型の学習に関する論文執筆に向けて資料収集に取り組み始めている。しかし、2022年度中にはそういった教育活動が正課と正課外の両方で取り組まれていること、その実態は時代やドイツ国内の州によって異なるということまでは明らかになったが、概要を捉えるのみで公表に足る研究成果は得られなかった。2023年に入ってからは、現地調査の計画を進めている。ザクセン州のドレスデン工科大学の研究者と連絡を取りながら、訪問調査の計画策定に取り組んだ。その結果、2023年の6月にザクセン州のドレスデンに調査を行うことが決定した。同年11月にもドイツ国内の調査を行う予定である。しかし、当初の調査計画時に比べ航空券等の費用が高騰しているため、現地訪問を行う調査者を減らすなどして、対応を考えている。2023年度にはこれらの現地調査の成果をふまえ論文執筆の行いたいと考えている。
