モデル地区の市民3,000人を対象として郵送法による食育に関する市民アンケート調査の分析を行った。主な分析結果は,子どもの歯科健診の頻度（公的な健診を除く）は複数回が半数を超えていた。子どもの「朝食の頻度（ほぼ毎日）」は93％で,世帯所得階層別ではバラツキがあるが,300万円未満層で食べない割合が高い傾向にあった。「現在の食生活に問題あり」は約３割で,具体的内容は好き嫌いが多い,栄養バランスの偏り,間食が多い等であった。「食育に対する取り組み」(複数回答)は,食べ方や作法の教育,バランスの良い食事,ゆっくり噛んで食べることが上位を占めていた。また新型コロナ感染拡大後の国や自治体の統計資料や情報公開されているデータを中心に調査・分析を行った。母子保健に関わる調査・分析ではコロナ禍では新型コロナ感染拡大前と比較して,特に全国の母子保健の保健相談（妊産婦および乳幼児の健診後の保健相談）に関わる健診後の非対面である保健指導の電話相談数は大幅に上昇した一方で対面の保健指導数は大幅に減少した。47都道府県別では9割以上で電話による保健指導数が対面の保健指導数と比較して有意に高かった。全国的には首都圏および大都市圏が非対面の保健指導数の割合が高く,人口が少ない県ではその割合は小さい傾向が認められた。現在では各自治体において非対面型の保健指導と支援の方法の手段として電話等が大部分を占めているが,それ以外の非対面・非接触のオンライン(遠隔手段等)でのシステムへの改善と構築の重要性が強調されており,ICT等を活用した支援の方針を打ち出しているという結果が得られた。本研究においてもICTやデジタルツールの活用を重視し,令和４年度の後半は食事指導や栄養指導の分野においては新分担者が開発・運用しているアプリケーションシステムを取り入れる準備等の研究の再構築を行った。
