本年度は、集団討議に関するストレス要因を実際のデータに基づいて抽出するために、大学生を対象とした調査を行った。95名の大学生に対して、グループでの話し合いにおいて、どんなことに困難を感じるかを尋ねて、得られた回答を分類したところ、「人間関係維持に関する課題」、「自分のコミュニケーションに関する課題」、「自分の向き合い方・意識に関する課題」、「結論の出し方に関する課題」、「他成員の向き合い方・意識に関する課題」、「集団討議における環境的課題」のカテゴリーが得られた。これらのカテゴリーをさらに集約すると、「人間関係維持」と「（話し合いの）円滑な運営・進行」というさらに上位のカテゴリーを見出すことができると考察された（植村他、2022）。この2つの上位カテゴリーは、リーダーシップに関する伝統的な理論、PM理論とほぼ一致しており、可能性のある仮説が得られたと考えられる。また、話し合いの経験を蓄積させることで、話し合いで感じるストレスにどのような変化が生じるかを検討するために、大学生154名を対象とした調査を行った。現在の大学生は、多くの人が1週間当たり1回以上のグループでの話し合い活動を高校までの授業で経験していることが明らかになった。また、週1回以上の経験をした群（124名）とそれ以下の頻度での経験をした群（30名）とを比べると、高頻度で経験した群の方が、集団討議への好意感情が高く、人間関係の維持への不安が高くなる傾向が明らかになった。これらの結果から、集団討議を促進する条件の検討を進めた。
