現代日本で少子高齢社会が進行する中で、親子関係は長期化し、生涯における親子関係の重要性が高まっている。成人期において親の老いを認知することが、親子関係に変化をもたらし、子の発達を促すと予想する。本研究の目的は、親の老いの認知が成人期の親子関係に与える影響について明らかにすることである。令和4（2022）年度は、研究1「親の老いの認知と親の老いに対する態度との相互関係（縦断的検討）」の3回における2時点目の調査を実施し、研究2「親の老いの認知に関連する要因の検討」ならびに研究3「親の老いの認知が及ぼす親子関係の変化（インタビュー調査）」の調査準備を行った。研究1では、令和4（2022）年2月下旬に実施した1時点目の調査と同一の40代・50代の2323名に、令和5（2023）年2月下旬に2時点目のweb調査を依頼し、1256名（男性551名、女性705名）の回答を得た。1時点目の調査と同様に、親の老いの認知と親の老いに対する態度、生活状況などについて尋ねた。1時点目と2時点目の親の老いの認知と親の老いに対する態度の相互関係について、自己回帰モデルに基づいて男女による多母集団同時分析を行った。分析の結果、親の老いの認知による親の老いに対する態度への影響に加えて、親の老いに対する態度による親の老いの認知への影響も示された。特に、「親の老いに基づく無常感」から「親の活動性減退」の認知、「親の老いによる世代継承性」から「親の心理的成熟」の認知への正の関連がみられた。さらに、父親と母親、息子と娘によるそれぞれの関連の特徴も示された。研究2では、40代・50代における親の老いの認知と、親に対する感謝、親子間葛藤、老親扶養意識との関連を検討するための調査票を精査した。研究3では、ライフコース論を参考に、親の老いの認知が及ぼす成人期の親子関係の変化に関するインタビュー調査の準備を進めた。
