本年度は、研究成果の１つの区切りとなる外国語書籍（タイトル: Test Data Engineering, 出版社: Springer）を出版することができた。そこでは、２値（正誤）のテストデータから、どのように情報を抽出し、可視化（知識化）していくことができるのかについて広範に記述することができた。特に、潜在ランク理論(latent rank theory, LRT)、バイクラスタリング、ベイジアンネットワークモデル(Bayesian network model, BNM)、LRTとBNMを組み合わせたモデルなど、多くのモデルを取り上げることができた。特に、本研究では、教育診断のための統計分析モデルの開発を目的の１つとして掲げているが、そのような教育診断を行うためのモデルをいくつか開発し、書籍の中で説明することができた。また本研究の副次的な成果として、大学入学共通テストの得点調整の方法の改良に資する研究を行うことができた。大学入学共通テストでは、令和７年度から既存の得点調整方法を修正する予定である。これまで科目の難易差について平均点差に着目していたが、令和7年度以降はスタナイン区分点差に注目するようルール改正を行い、プレス発表を行った。本研究では、これに関連して、スタナイン区分点の標準誤差を検討する研究を行った。そこでは、カーネル分位点差縮小法とブートストラップ法を用いることで、真のスタナイン区分点の標準誤差に迫ることができるのではないかと示唆された。
