项目摘要

鹿児島県内の大部分のモウソウチク林が放置され、その取り扱いが社会問題化している。モウソウチクを資源として利活用するためには、将来にわたってどの程度の量の利用が可能なのかは、資源循環を決めるモウソウチク林の輪伐期で考えることができる。小面積帯状伐採からの回復過程の結果から、モウソウチク林の資源循環と輪伐期について検討している。伐採区および対照区の8年間の発生稈本数・枯死稈本数・生存稈本数・発生稈と生存稈の平均DBHを集計した。生存稈本数の飽和状態について、放置竹林では生存稈本数が定常状態にあると想定し、対照区の平均生存稈本数を飽和状態と定義した。8年間の枯死のデータを用いて、稈年齢と枯死率の関係をリチャーズ関数に当てはめ、稈年齢15年生までの枯死率を算出した。伐採区での生存稈密度が4800本になるまでの期間をリチャーズ関数に当てはめて推定したところ、13年で4800本になることがわかった。したがって、伐採後13年で放置竹林の状態に戻ると示唆された。さらに、鹿児島県内のモウソウチク稈の成分について分析を行い、稈年齢、地域によってカリウムなどの成分構成が異なっていることが分かった。モウソウチク林での生存稈寿命を調査実績から推定し、稈寿命モデルを推移確率行列モデルで表現することに取り組んでいる。
