本研究の目的は、日系企業がASEANに進出することで生まれた、自動車産業の産業集積の形成過程を明らかにし、そのことが日本国内の産業集積（企業城下町）に与える影響を解明することである。具体的には、ASEANに進出したサプライヤーについて、①本社立地、進出国・年度、技術・部品に基づき分類と、日系企業によるASEANでの産業集積の形成過程、②進出国での取引関係の変容（系列関係の深化、非系列関係の探索）が、国内での取引関係（系列関係）に与える影響、③②の影響が国内マザー工場に与える効果（開発機能・生産技術の向上）を検討することである。昨年度に引き続き、コロナウィルスのために海外調査ができず、マークラインズ社のデータベースを利用して、エンジン、空調、サスペンション、シート、ドライブトレイン、ブレーキ、ランプ、外装部品、車体・骨格、内装部品等の分類を基に、主にタイとインドネシアに進出する日系サプライヤーのデータベースを作成した。また、国内調査では、富山県高岡市・砺波市周辺、静岡県浜松市・磐田市周辺に限定した上で、ASEANに進出しているTier1,Tier2，金型メーカー、国内に留まっているTier2と金型メーカーの調査を行った。海外進出企業8社（タカギセイコー、ASTI、ムガイ他）、国内企業5社、金型企業12社（海外進出5社、国内のみ7社）の合計25社である。静岡県内のASEAN進出企業は数十社あり、半分以下しか調査できなかった。上記の3つの問いに対して、いくつかの発見を得ることができたので、次年度の調査につながるものと考えられる（＊2020年の報告書は誤りであり、2021年度の結果を間違えて記述している。本報告が、2021年度の正しい報告書となる）。

The purpose of this study is to clarify the impact of Japanese companies on ASEAN and the formation of industrial clusters in the automotive industry.
