项目摘要

R2、R3年度の研究調査は主に国内外の文献調査、国内の博物館や資料館、伝承館における「頭上祭礼装置」の実物測定を行い、また、海外研究協力者のオンライン研究交流、情報交換などを進めた。国内の調査では、主に青森県、島根県の隠岐神楽、熊本県八代市稚児の天冠、山形県鳥海山大物忌神社吹浦口の宮例大祭用花笠、京都府、長崎県、鹿児島県の祭礼用の花笠、須弥山の造形と思われるタイ、インドネシア芝居用の冠とブータン宗教儀礼用のシャナ冠の実物を実測した。また、北広島町の民俗文化に伝承されている花田植の牛の飾り(牛の背中に立てられている花笠)、本地の花笠踊りに関連造形、およびその歴史的形成要因、博多松囃子にみかけられた傘鉾、博多祇園山笠巡行図屏風における山笠、八代神社の祭礼に行われる八代妙見祭の神幸行事における笠鉾、秩父夜祭の笠鉾の構造の形態と特徴を写真により記録、把握した。さらに、吉林大学考古学院の胡衛軍氏との研究交流により、中国東北地区に散見する各族のシャーマン冠の装飾意味およびその服飾の特色や意味などを明らかにした。R4年度はカンボジアとブータンの祭礼における「頭上祭礼装置」の現地調査を実施した。カンボジアの調査では主にアンコールワット・アンコールトム、バンテアイスレイ、ベンメリアなどの遺跡の石彫刻に現している女官、踊り子、蛇神ナーガや鳥神ガルーダの冠の意匠とヒンドゥ教の宇宙観との関係を把握した。一方、ブータンの調査では主にプナカ・ツェチュ祭りにおけるチャムの内容、儀式、シャナ・チャムの衣装、シャナ冠などを確認、記録した。とりわけ、シャナ冠の造形原理について僧侶ツェチュ氏にインタビュー、意見交換を行い、論文の仮説を確認した。以上の調査資料整理、清書図面をひととおりとり終え、日本の花笠、笠鉾の造形とヒンドゥ教、仏教の宇宙観やアジア冠との関わりを論文、報告書のまとめを進めているところである。
